PURPOSE AND SPHERE OF APPLICATION
3-PC forged and welded flanged ball valves ser. Classic and 2-PC casting ball valves ser. Universal are intended to be fitted as stop/shutoff valves in the process lines at chemical and oil-refining plants, at pulp-and-paper milks and other production facilities using fluid, gaseous as well as corrosive working media. Distinctive features of these valves are advanced reliability and demountable (repairable) construction.
 
VALVE DESIGN
The through ball valve consists of the valve body (1) and the caps (2) bolted together by stud bolts (16). Within the valve body, steel rings (6) press the ball seats (5) against the floating ball (3). The blowout proof valve stem (4) is sealed with two gaskets (11) and (8). The joining of the valve body and the caps is sealed with the joint gaskets (7). Valve shifting is performed by turning handle (12) through 90 degrees. Remotely controlled valves provided with pneumatic and electrical actuators are available. The valve can be mounted on the pipeline in any attitude position required.
