Strainers
FB93

PURPOSE AND SPHERE OF APPLICATION
Strainers are intended to filter the working medium in the process lines at chemical and oil-refining plants, gas, food, construction as well as at pulp-and-paper milks and other production facilities using fluid as well as corrosive working media. The mounting at of strainer is recommended when exploiting valves in abrasive media to avoid the damage of working cavities and for extension of life cycle.

VALVE DESIGN
The strainer consists of the filter element (a screen) (2) mounted within the welded body (1). The nominal position of the filter element relative to the caps holes is provided by the pin (4) mounted in the bonnet (3). The bonnet and the body (2) are bolted together by stud bolts (5) and sealed with the rubber gasket (6). Preferred position of the strainer is lower or side position of bonnet. When cleaning the filter it is good to dismantle the bonnet and take the filter element out. Mounting the filter element after its cleaning it is necessary to supply the medium into the filter.
